MMJ Real Estate announces new Melbourne office as it continues the expansion of its national commercial network.
MMJ Real Estate has announced the opening of a key CBD commercial office in Melbourne, bolstering the company’s rapidly expanding national network.
The addition of the Melbourne office completes MMJ’s east coast offering, with its commercial platform now comprising of six offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Canberra and Wollongong.
MMJ Real Estate Chief Executive, Chris Johnson, said he was pleased to announce that Grange Property Consultants (Grange) had merged with MMJ Real Estate in Melbourne.
Effectively immediately, Joel Ward, who has extensive industry experience and has owned and managed Grange for over 20 years, will assume the role as Director and Officer in Effective Control of MMJ’s Melbourne office.
"Joel and his existing client base are an ideal fit for the ongoing growth and reach of the MMJ brand, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the addition of the business to the MMJ network. We are looking forward to working with Joel’s existing clients in conjunction with our clients to offer expanded services and reach in Melbourne, said Chris."
Joel said he has been approached by a number of competitors over the years seeking to merge with his business, however, it was the ethos of the MMJ team that he felt most aligned to join.
"MMJ is absolutely the right fit for my clients. They are in an exciting phase of growth that I’m looking forward to being a part of. In the coming months, we will look to recruit other suitable people to join the Melbourne team in order to widen the scope of services we can deliver to our clients," said Joel.
Joel’s background has seen him responsible for the acquisition and disposal of commercial, industrial, retail and residential property for private, institutional, governmental and quasi-governmental property owners and administrators. His work has encompassed detailed market analysis, determining comparability of property for valuation analysis, development of due diligence material, interstate legal compliance, agency networking, budget cost accounting practices and project management.
Joel has provided real estate consultative services to a range of corporate and institutional clients including the Liquidator of the Pyramid Group of Building Societies, National Australia Bank and was previously a Director of Savills National Capital Transactions.
MMJ has also recruited Allison Brudenell, a senior property management executive into the Melbourne business. Allison has previously held senior property management roles with both CBRE and Knight Frank, where she has managed Melbourne and fringe property portfolios for both institutions and private clients. As the Director of Melbourne’s property management business, Allison will work closely with Joel to look after existing client relationships, whilst also seeking to grow the portfolio.
The MMJ Real Estate’s commercial office network continues to be supported by best in class residential offices located in Wollongong, Illawarra North, Illawarra South, Dapto and Shellharbour City.
