Over 50 emerging leaders and seasoned professionals from within the property industry gathered at MMJ Wollongong last week for the Property Council of Australia Future Directions event.
The Future Directions is a well-established networking group founded by The Property Council of Australia and aims to provide a platform for interaction with like-minded contemporaries, allowing the group to meet new people in the property industry and to further develop professional skill sets within a positive environment.
The event focused on the development of Shell Cove as a residential community, with the $2.3 billion development set to create approximately 3,300 new homes, a 270 berth marina, 18 hole golf course and a vibrant town centre that includes a Woolworths supermarket, speciality retail, a hotel, tavern and restaurant. Invitees heard Guest speakers Donna Flanagan (Manager Property & Recreation , Shellharbour Council) and Glenn Colquhoun (Development Director, Frasers Property Australia) speak about Shellharbour Council’s long-term vision to create a major residential, boating, tourist and lifestyle destination within Shellharbour City.
MMJ Future Direction Committee Members, Harriet Mourd and Jarrod Poort both remarked on the high calibre of discussions that took place at the event and the informative nature of all guest speakers.
