Career History
Michael’s property career started almost thirty years ago in 1991 when, after completing a Bachelor of Business, he commenced as a Valuer at the NSW State Bank in Wollongong. In this role he undertook a broad range of property advisory roles, including Development and Commercial Feasibilities.
Joining MMJ in 1997, first as a Valuer and then as a Commercial Property Manager, Michael has since moved on to spearhead Commercial Leasing as a specialist area within the company and overseen its continued growth.
Michael became a Director and Partner of the business more than 10 years ago and now also heads Commercial Management—one of the largest management portfolios outside of the Sydney Metro.
It is fair to say Michael is recognised as the market-leading Commercial Leasing agent in the Greater Wollongong area and has so been for many years. This role concentrates on larger properties and development projects across commercial, retail and industrial markets, with numerous career highlights in leasing to boast.
A professional background and broad property experience in this role form a unique blend in the Illawarra. These qualities, coupled with MMJ as an organisation and the commercial opportunities it attracts, have proven a very successful combination. Testament to this is the fact Michael has been very well received on three different occasions for his market commentary and passion for the region as a keynote speaker for the Property Council’s annual ‘Illawarra Outlook’ luncheon.
