Chris is a Fellow of the Australian Property Institute (FAPI) and is a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (MAICD). He is also a Licensed Real Estate Agent & has an Associate Diploma of Valuation.
Chris’ 38 year real estate career encompasses an extensive track record in property; sales, financing and senior management. In addition to his agency management roles, Chris was also previously the Head of Westpac’s Property Finance Division, where he managed a business with over $2.5 billion in property loans.
This experience provides him with a rare insight into the critical role financing plays in structuring real estate transactions. Throughout his agency career, Chris has specialised in the sale of predominantly investment grade property up to $100 million in value. Sydney CBD Office Portfolio - $100 million + 111 Pacific Highway, North Sydney - $93 million, 75 Miller Street, North Sydney - $68 million, Pymble Corporate Centre - $48 million, Newcastle Tax Office - $33 million, 32 Walker Street, North Sydney - $29 million
Chris has also been responsible for the disposal of a number of retail property portfolios on a sale and leaseback basis. Successful portfolio sales handled by Chris have included: 150 Westpac Branches $70 million 40 Liquorland Outlets $20 million 30 Red Rooster Restaurants $18 million.
Chris is also experienced in all methods of real estate selling including; auction, private treaty, tender, expressions of interest and off market placement. In addition to his extensive selling capabilities, he has also provided purchase consultancy advice to institutions, developers and private investors.
Prior to joining MMJ’s Sydney office, Chris was the Australian CEO of global real estate agency DTZ.
