Career History

Upon graduating from Hawkesbury Agricultural College in 1980 Rob commenced his valuation career with the State Bank of NSW in Griffith and was transferred throughout NSW country areas, Sydney and finally Wollongong. Rob joined MMJ Real Estate Pty Ltd, Wollongong in January 1984 and become a director of the company in 1988.

Rob has 32 years in Valuation and Property Consultancy.

 

Valuation Experience

In the State Bank of NSW undertook valuations of all types of real estate including irrigation farms, intensive livestock farms, orchards, broad-acre farming and grazing properties, residential commercial retail and industrial premises.

Upon joining Martin Morris & Jones has had extensive experience in all forms of residential commercial industrial and retail valuations plus a number of englobo residential and industrial subdivisions. Over the past 27 years has specialised in the valuation of all forms or interests in service stations and has consulted widely to the oil industry throughout NSW and the ACT.

Has been engaged by The Roads and Maritime Service of New South Wales (previously Roads and Traffic Authority of New South Wales) to undertake valuations for acquisition purposes in the local lllawarra region and regional locations. This has required the provision of Expert Evidence in the Land Environment Court of New South Wales. Valuations have also been undertaken for private clients in accordance with the Land Acquisition (Just Terms Compensation) Act for claims against acquiring authorities in particular in regards to partial or total acquisition for road purposes.

Valuations have also been undertaken for the Port Kembla Port Corporation with regards to principally industrial land in and around the Port Kembla harbour.

The geographical area of the within which work is undertaken is principally lllawarra, made up of the Local Government Areas of Wollongong, Shellharbour and Kiama and throughout the Southern Highlands, made up of the Local Government Areas of Wingecarribee and Wollondilly within the Maldon/Dombarton rail infrastructure project is located.
